At the time, the company?s major exports were; cocoa beans, coffee, maize grains, beans and green tea leaves for the conventional markets. In 1999, Management under the chairmanship of Mr. David B. Kayondo decided to venture into the production and export of Organic Agricultural Products under the project named Outspan Organagric Ltd. In November 2000, Outspan introduced a new variety ? Sesame II ? which gave a better yield and had a higher oil content and has been a big success for all participating farmers. Currently, the company now mainly deals in the export of Cotton lint, Sesame seed, Cocoa beans, Red birdeye chillies, Passion fruits, Dry Ginger and Mangoes which are all organically produced.
