GAPCO Uganda was incorporated in 1994 by acquiring all assets and shares of Esso Standard Uganda. GAPCO Uganda has extended storage and distribution services in major towns across Uganda. It also has the most comprehensive chain of service stations in the country  with presence in almost all the major towns in Uganda. The company sources its fuel requirements from Kenya and Tanzania.

GAPCO with operations in East Africa is one of the largest independent petroleum marketing and trading organizations and is primarily involved in petroleum product imports, retail and wholesale marketing, trading, storage, distribution, supply and transport of oil products to the countries in East and Central Africa.
