Betuco Uganda Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 17th November 1987 as a brainchild of Mr Joseph Behakanira and Mrs Goodra Behakanira both as Managing Directors and Shareholders.
The aim of Betuco (U) Ltd is to provide high quality services to its clients through their various subsidiary companies. Although a private company, it is based on strong family values among others. The co-operation between Mr & Mrs Behakanira has made the company to succeed in various ways as they are directly and entirely involved in supervising all the activities of Betuco.
For the last 15 years, they have created various companies and branches dealing mainly in the manufacture of high quality textiles observing the highest and strictest standards of quality in all the stages involved. This involves the production of samples of textiles by having thorough knowledge of the latest market trend and the consumers’ desires and needs at heart. Mrs Behakanira,a designer herself, is very good at this and through her good business acumen has made Betuco progress very well at the importation of the best and high quality textiles.
Currently, we are the biggest importer of textiles in Uganda mainly from South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and above all Dubai. Apart from importation of textiles we also deal in high quality baby items such as baby cots, toys, pampers,clothing,toiletries found at our JoseMaria Baby shop at the Avemar Shopping Centre; home appliances such as high quality blankets, bedcovers, duvets, flasks, briefcases, suitcases and travel accessories at our Rose Mystique shop also ideally located at Avemar Shopping Centre.
Betuco (U) Ltd also has a department dealing in property development. This has the Avemar Shopping Centre, the first of its kind in Uganda, ideally located in the heart of the city of Kampala on Plot 30 Luwum Street with a capacity of more than 80 shops boasting of a first class Pharmaceutical, Salon and Beauty Centre, Banking Hall and Clinic.
